Fox Lane HS Grad Jagger Michael Diem Dies At 18 Jagger Michael Diem, a 2019 graduate of Fox Lane High School in Bedford who worked at an assisted living facility in Northern Westchester during the COVID-19 crisis, died suddenly Tuesday morning, Aug. 25. He was 18. He was born in New York City on Oct. 30, 2001 and was a resident of Ossining for the past year.  He played in Rock Ensemble and had many friendships from his days at the Boys & Girls Club in Mount Kisco, according to his obituary.  He was most proud of working at Atria On The Hudson, an assisted living facility in Ossining, where he served as essential…

Mount Kisco Fencer Brings Home Gold at Junior Olympics A teen from Northern Westchester has been awarded a gold medal for his fencing abilities at the 2019 Junior Olympic Fencing Championships in Denver. The fencer, Nickoloz Lortkipanidze of Mount Kisco, is a 16-year-old junior at Fox Lane High School in Bedford. He won gold in the Cadet event (17 and under) and placed 6th in the Juniors division (20 and under). The four-day tournament was held between Friday, Feb. 15 and Monday, Feb. 18 and involved upwards of 2,000 athletes from 44 states. Representatives say this event is the largest junior national fencing championship in history.

Water Main Break Leads To Early Dismissals At Fox Lane High School, Middle School A water main break on the Fox Lane Campus causing no water pressure, impacting toilets and all running water, resulted in early dismissal for Fox Lane High School and Fox Lane Middle School students late Thursday morning, Jan. 10.  The dismissal occurred at 11 a.m. and all after-school and evening activities on the Fox Lane Campus are canceled for Thursday. Activities at other Bedford Central schools will go on as scheduled.

Amy Salerno recently completed The Dorothy Day Mural of Hope which aims to feed the soul of those in need while honoring the dignity of all people. The mural was created in the dining room of the Dorothy Day Hospitality House in Danbury.
