Seen Them Or Their Car? Alert Issued For Missing Woman, Man From Area A pair of adults have gone missing in the area and New York State Police are asking the public's help in locating them. Dutchess County residents Loretta M. Meanen, 87, and Claude L. Epstein, 69, of Amenia, were en route to Alabama (the Pell City area) and were expected early in the day on Tuesday, Dec. 10, State Police from the Dover Plains barracks said. Neither Meanen nor Epstein owns a cellular device, police added. They were last seen on Wednesday, Dec. 4. Police Searching For Vehicle Stolen From Driveway Of Ridgefield Home Ridgefield police are searching for one of two cars stolen in town overnight.  One incident took place during the early morning hours on Wednesday, Oct. 30, on Conley Court, said Ridgefield Police Capt. Shawn Platt. One of the vehicles, a red Ford Focus, was recovered abandoned in Bridgeport, Platt said. The second, a gray Toyota Sequoia, has not been recovered, he said.  Both vehicles were unlocked with the keys inside.  If anyone has any information regarding these cases they are asked to contact the Ridgefield Police Department at 203-438-6531.

Victim ID'd In Fatal Pedestrian, Truck/Car Collision Involving Carmel Man The Town of Poughkeepsie man who was killed after being struck by an empty dump truck and then a car on Lime Kiln Road late Thursday night has been identified. A preliminary investigation indicated that the victim, 44-year-old Rudolph Thompson of the Town of Poughkeepsie, was struck while in the southbound lane of Lime Kiln Road by a 2012 Peterbilt tractor hauling an empty dump trailer. The truck, which was traveling south, stopped immediately after the collision. After being hit by the tractor, Thompson was then struck a few moments later by a 2008 Ford Focus.
