Man Dies In Single-Vehicle Lake Carmel Crash A 61-year-old man was killed after crashing into a tree in Putnam County, police said. Officers from the Kent Police responded to East Lakeshore Drive in Lake Carmel at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8, where there was a report of a crash, officials said.  Upon arrival, first responders found the driver, Kent resident James Agor, unresponsive in the vehicle. Police said that Agor was trapped inside his vehicle, and paramedics at the scene were unable to revive him once he was freed from the driver’s seat. Agor was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred around 10 p.m. on Pinebrook Boulevard, a residential street just east of New Rochelle High School. The crash brought down power lines onto the vehicle.
