Escaped Horse Killed After Being Hit By Car On Busy Area Roadway A horse was killed after being hit by a car after it escaped its corral by jumping a fence onto a busy area roadway.  The horse, which was killed on Route 202 in Rockland on Monday, July 26, lived on a farm in a more rural section of Ramapo, police said.  Ramapo Police Lt. Tom Dolan said Wednesday, July 28, the horse escaped the corral about 4:30 a.m. and ended up on the roadway where it was hit and killed instantly. 18-Year-Old Killed In Rollover Crash In Northern Westchester An 18-year-old man has been killed during a single-vehicle rollover crash in Northern Westchester. Jaylan P. Jaijairam, of the Bronx, was killed around 11:05 a.m., Sunday, June 6 on the Taconic State Parkway in Mount Pleasant, said Trooper AJ Hicks. According to Hicks, Jaijairam was driving a 2020 Dodge Challenger at a high rate of speed and was unable to negotiate a curve.   The vehicle rotated 180-degrees before striking the guide rail and overturning, Hicks said. It happened in Rockland County in Montebello in the area of Airmont Road at the I-87 overpass after the vehicle slammed into the pole sparking a fire, around 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 4, Ramapo Police said. The Tallman fire department also responded to the scene  The area had to be closed for several hours overnight, but reopened around 6:30 a.m., Monday, April 5. Car Plows Into Bedford Hills Store A car plowed through a Northern Westchester store, injuring three. The incident took place around 1 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 4, in Bedford Hills at the Brew & Co. at 532 N. Bedford Road (Route 117), said Sgt. Patricia McGraw with the Bedford Police Department. An elderly driver became confused and drove into the store, according to McGraw.  The injuries were very minor, McGraw said.
