Man Struck By Police Vehicle Outside New Canaan PD Station, Cops Say A Fairfield County man was injured after being struck by a police vehicle in front of a local department's headquarters. The incident took place in New Canaan around 9 p.m., Monday, June 27 in front of the New Canaan Police Department at 156 South Ave. The New Canaan Police vehicle was exiting the parking lot of 156 South Ave., to turn right onto South Avenue to head north, said Lt. Bicyclist Struck By Vehicle On Busy Area Roadway A bicyclist was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle in the area. The crash took place at 3:20 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 14, in Rockland County on North Middletown Road, in Pearl River. A 76-year-old man from Haverstraw was riding his bike northbound on North Middletown Road and was crossing the Route 304 exit ramp when he was hit by a vehicle that was exiting the roadway at the ramp, according to Captain James Brown, of the Orangetown Police Department. Bicyclist Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle In Area A man riding a bike in the Hudson Valley was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle, authorities announced. The crash took place around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 15, in Rockland County near the area of Viola Road and Underwood Road in the hamlet of Viola, said the Ramapo Police. The bicyclist was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, police said. Roadways that were closed following the crash have since reopened. This is a developing story. It happened in Stamford on Friday, Nov. 6 just before 10:30 p.m. The bicyclist, a 19-year-old Stamford resident, was riding his bicycle northbound in the area of 34 Harvard Ave. when he was struck by a 2005 Cadillac being operated by a 46-year-old Bethany resident, Stamford Police said.  The initial impact with the Cadillac caused the bicyclist to be thrown from his bicycle onto the roadway, according to police.
