Lyman, currently serving his third term on the Town Council, is a lifelong resident of Pound Ridge and has served the community as a firefighter, interim highway superintendent, president and treasurer of the Pound Ridge Elementary School Association, building and grounds superintendent, and as a police officer. He served 16 years on the Zoning Board of Appeals, was a volunteer with Neighbor to Neighbor and received the Margaret Fay Sachs Award for his 30 years of service to the Garden Club. He is heartily endorsed by retiring Supervisor Gary Warshauer.
Avellino has been active on the Citizens Advisory Committee for the Comprehensive Plan, the Ad Hoc Housing Committee and is a regular participant in discussions at Town, Conservation and Planning Board meetings. He is a member of the Office of Emergency Management and has served on the Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
Schwartz has been active with the Pound Ridge Elementary School PTA, the Fox Lane Middle School Association, the Pound Ridge Newcomers Club, Neighbor to Neighbor, the Town Summer Camp, the Lions Club and the Office of Emergency Management. She has been a troop leader in both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
Damascus has been the Pound Ridge Receiver of Taxes since 2007 and hopes to continue in the office.
Dweck is an AV rated attorney, listed in Martindale Hubbell’s Register of Preeminent lawyers. He is admitted to practice in New York, Pennsylvania and federal courts, including the Supreme Court.
“I’m very excited about our town slate,” said Committee Chairman Joseph Zaino. “We have an impressive lineup who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience, have a long history of participation in town activities and organizations, and understand what makes Pound Ridge unique as well as a great place to live.”
