POUND RIDGE, N.Y. Pound Ridge police arrested a Milford, Pa. man on Aug. 3, and charged him with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor.
Police said that around 8:25 a.m., they pulled over a car on Westchester Avenue because it had no brake lights. They say a check of DMV records revealed that the driver, Marlin A. Sessler, 35, had his driving privileges in New York state suspended.
Sessler was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters where he was charged with the driving infraction and issued summonses for having an unregistered vehicle and driving without brake lights. His vehicle was impounded.
Sessler was released on $250 bail and is due back in Pound Ridge Town Court on Aug. 20.
The following items were also reported by the Pound Ridge police:
On Aug. 1, police were called to Westchester Avenue for a criminal mischief complaint. The caller told officers that someone had keyed their car while it was parked on the street.
Also on Aug, 1, police were called to a residence on Westchester Avenue on Aug. 1, for a fraud complaint. The resident told officers he was notified by his bank that there was suspicious activity on his account. He was told by the bank he would be reimbursed and was asked to file a report with the police.
On August 5, police were called to Lower Shad Road on the report of an illegally parked vehicle. Officers issued three summonses.
On Monday, police responded to a one-car accident on Hack Green Road around 3:50 p.m. No injuries were reported, but the car was towed.
