Earlier report:

The victims of an apparent double murder/suicide that occurred late Friday morning in Northern Westchester have been identified.

A day after the bodies of three victims of an apparent double murder/suicide were discovered in a quiet neighborhood in Northern Westchester, new details have emerged.

At approximately 11:10 a.m., state police from the Somers barracks, partnered with the Pound Ridge Police Department, to respond to a residence located at 23 Fox Hill Road, in the Town of Pound Ridge, for an apparent murder/suicide, state police said.

Officers arrived on scene after a housekeeper discovered the three people dead inside of the home.

A preliminary investigation indicated that 56-year-old Steven Dym of Pound Ridge, took the life of his 50-year-old wife Loretta Dym, and their daughter, Caroline Dym, age 18, before taking his own life, state police said.

Caroline Dym was entering her senior year at Convent of the Sacred Heart in Greenwich, where she was a golf standout. Her 20-year-old brother, who is a student at the University of Southern California, has returned to New York.

Steven Dym was CEO of a property management company. Loretta Dym was vice president for global strategic partnerships at Club Quarters Hotel in Stamford, Conn.

Pound Ridge Police Chief Dave Ryan, who was first on the scene Friday, said the incident was a heartbreaking loss for the community and marked the only murders in his 19 years with the department.

The Dyms' 4,600-square foot five-bedroom, five-bathroom home, valued at around $1.6 million, had recently been put on the market, according to CBS New York.

The Westchester County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct autopsies to determine the cause of death of all three victims.
