Mary Beth Harrington, 56, Of Pound Ridge, Former General Foods Nutritionist

POUND RIDGE, N.Y. – Mary Beth Harrington, 56, of Pound Ridge, died Sunday, June 14.

She was a daughter of Audrey Harrington and the late William “BJ” Harrington.

She graduated Marymount College with honors degrees in economics and nutrition.

Harrington began her 33-year career as a nutritionist at the General Foods Corp. She then became director of the nutrition and test kitchens at General Foods and Kraft.

Later, she was an executive nutritionist and director of test kitchens at McCormack Spice Co. in Baltimore.

Survivors in additional to her mother include her identical twin sister, Mary Pat McCarthy; three brothers, Billy (Carolyn) Harrington, Brian (Elizabeth) Harrington, and Peter (Danielle) Harrington; two great-aunts; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, 7 Pound Ridge Road, Bedford.

Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
