POUND RIDGE, N.Y. – Residents affected by the power outage in the wake of Saturday’s snowstorm can find some relief at the Pound Ridge Town House on Westchester Avenue while they wait for their electricity to be stored.

People can use the Town House as a warming station, to pick up dry ice, bottle water, and non-potable water for toilet tanks, and to charge devices such as cell phones and laptops. There are also coffee, hot soup, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches available.

Town Clerk Joanne Pace said the building has one shower that residents can take advantage of, and there are cots for those who’d like to spend the night. Volunteers from the town’s office of emergency management are on hand to keep the Town House open 24 hours a day.
