What to do in Lewisboro-Pound Ridge Area This Weekend

If you are looking to fill up your itinerary for the weekend, the Lewisboro/Pound Ridge area offers an eclectic list of events ranging from school musicals to tag sales to some cool concerts at the Ridgefield Playhouse.

Friday

 - Live Music at Mariela’s, 8 p.m. Mariela’s Wine Bar presents Lindsey Webster, who at 23 years old has shared the stage with Grammy-award winning musicians and artists. She sings on a 2012 Grammy-nominated CD with the Jimmy Sturr Orchestra and has recorded with multiple music legends. There’s no cover charge.  - “Fun with Music” with Laura D’Amico at Pound Ridge Library, 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Ages 5 and under. Registration is required. Call the library at 914-764-5085.

- “The Wedding Singer” at Fox Lane, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Fox Lane High School presents its spring musical, “The Wedding Singer,” based on the movie starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. - Nitty Gritty Dirty Band at Ridgefield Playhouse, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Country rock and Americana music pioneers Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, best known for their hit, “Mr. Bojangles,” bring their music to Ridgefield Playhouse. - Meadow Pond tag sale, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Meadow Pond Elementary School on Route 123 in South Salem is holding a tag sale at the school. There is early bird entry at 8 a.m.

- “The Wedding Singer” at Fox Lane, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Fox Lane High School presents its spring musical, “The Wedding Singer,” based on the movie starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. Tickets are $15; $10 for students and seniors. All tickets are $15 at the door. Call 914-864-3499 for information.

- In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, Ward Pound Ridge Reservation presents “Search for the Color Green,” a hike that seeks out green and other signs of spring at the reservation. The hike begins at the Trailside Nature Museum at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Routes 35 and 121, Cross River. There’s no charge. For more information, call (914) 864-7322.

Sunday

- Saw Doctors at Ridgefield Playhouse, 8 to 10 p.m.

The Saw Doctors, an energetic rock band that performs at Ridgefield Playhouse to mark St. Patrick’s Day in Ireland, has had 18 Top 30 songs, as well as three No. 1 songs since the group began in 1986. Tickets are $50. For more information, visit The Playhouse's website or call (203) 438-5795.

- Music at North Star, 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Dennis Collins and Mike DiMeo will perform at the North Star restaurant in Pound Ridge. Collins, who is accompanied on piano by DiMeo, has recorded with stars such as Roberta Flack, Sting, Ray Charles, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Sheryl Crow and Faith Hill.
