Streetlight Project Tops Pound Ridge News This Week

POUND RIDGE, N.Y. -- Here's what made news in Pound Ridge last week:

  • Pound Ridge residents will soon have a chance to adopt a streetlight along Westchester Avenue in the Scotts Corners Business District, according to a press release. The Green Streets Committee, a joint volunteer project between the Pound Ridge Business Association and Pound Ridge Partnership, will put flyers in residents’ mailboxes this week.
  • The Harvey School held commencement exercises last week. Fifty-five students graduated from the school. Among the graduates were Pound Ridge residents Michael Spencer Burke, Brittany Marisa Sullivan and Jesse Louis Zubren; Waccabuc’s Brent Lee Feldman and Gabrielle Rayner Paulhac; Chappaqua’s Julia Elizabeth Meyer; Armonk’s Lauren Ashley Stein; and Bedford’s Patrick Francis Taylor.
  • The National Weather Service issued a flood watch for Westchester County due to heavy rainfall of more than 4 inches predicted between Thursday and Saturday. Showers began early Thursday morning and thunderstorms hit the area in the afternoon.
