POUND RIDGE, N.Y. Pound Ridge police investigated a case of possible bank fraud last week at a bank on Westchester Avenue.
Police were informed that two accounts were opened in a business name without consent. The business reported that no money was missing. Police would not disclose the name of the bank, but said the banks fraud department was notified.

AUG. 24
Police issued two tickets to a motorist on West Lane for disobeying a traffic control device and being an unlicensed operator.
A Peters Lane resident called police to report that three small snakes had entered his residence. The snakes were disposed of. The homeowner requested assistance to check porch area, but police found no other snakes.
AUG. 25
Police issued a speeding ticket to a motorist on Westchester Avenue for going 52 mph in a 30 mph zone.
A Davids Lane resident reported that tools were taken from his garage. The incident is under investigation.
AUG. 27
A jogger reported that while running along Pound Ridge Road, a dog ran out and pushed her to the ground and bit her. The dog control officer is investigating.
AUG. 28
Police responded to a two-car accident on Long Ridge Road. The Pound Ridge Volunteer Ambulance Corps and fire department also responded. One injury was reported and the cars were towed.
Police responded to a tree falling on to a house on Honey Hollow Road. The fire department also responded.
AUG. 29
Police were dispatched to High Ridge Road for a disabled vehicle. The vehicle became hung up on the blacktop while making a left turn onto Shake Hill Road. The towing company was able to free the vehicle.
AUG. 30
Police responded to a domestic disturbance call at an Ebenezer Lane residence and mediated a dispute between the parents and a child.
A resident was reported lost in Pound Ridge Reservation on Michigan Road, but the subject was located.
Police investigated a case of marijuana possession on Donbrook Road. No information was released because the subjects were youthful offenders.
AUG. 31
A motorist came to the police station and said he was riding his motorcycle on Lower Trinity Pass and struck a barricade set up for road closure due to the power outage and debris in the street caused by a broken power pole. The victim was taken to the hospital by the Pound Ridge Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
SEPT. 1
Police issued two tickets to a motorist on Sherwood Road for an unregistered motor vehicle and failure to stop at a stop sign.
Police were called to White Birch Road for burning wires on the ground. The fire department placed barricades and NYSEG was notified.
SEPT. 2
Police issued a ticket to a motorist on Westchester Avenue for going 49 mph in a 30 mph zone.
SEPT. 3
Police issued two tickets to a motorist on High Ridge Road for speeding (58 mph in a 40 mph zone) and for being an unlicensed driver. The vehicle was impounded.
