Pound Ridge Cops Charge Three With Driving on Suspended Licenses

POUND RIDGE, N.Y. – Pound Ridge police arrested and charged three motorists this past week with driving with a suspended license – all misdemeanors.

On Friday, April 13, during a commercial vehicle inspection detail at Town Park on Westchester Avenue, police discovered that Marcos J. Ramos, 45, of Stamford, Conn., had a valid Connecticut license. However, a DMV check revealed that his New York license was suspended. He was charged with third-degree unauthorized operation of a motor vehicle and released on $200 bail. He’s due back in court on April 30.

On Saturday, during a routine traffic stop for speeding on Westchester Avenue, it was discovered that Dariusz Roginski, 45, of Wilton, Conn., was driving with a suspended license. He was charged with third-degree unauthorized operation of a motor vehicle and ticketed for traveling 50 mph in a 30 mph zone. He was released on $100 bail and is due back in court on April 30.

Later that day, police pulled over Lisa Marie Crawford, 46, of Stamford, Conn., for traveling 51 mph in a 30 mph zone. A subsequent DMV check revealed that her driving privileges were suspended in New York. She was charged with third-degree unauthorized operation of a motor vehicle and issued a speeding summons as well. She was released on $100 bail and is due back in court on May 14.

The following items were also reported by the Pound Ridge Police:

Speeding Tickets Issued: On Thursday, April 12, police issued tickets to three motorists for speeding. Two were issued on Long Ridge Road to drivers traveling 56 mph and 52 mph in a 40 mph zone. The third was issued to a motorist on Westchester Avenue for going 51 mph in a 30 mph zone.

Deer/Car Accident: A car collided with a deer on Old Mill River Road on Friday. The car needed to be towed, but there were no injuries.

Shots Fired: Police received a report of shots fired on Monday on Parkview Road. Officers checked the area with negative results. No further problems were reported.
