POUND RIDGE – If you need a dog license, a marriage license – or even to get married – Pound Ridge Town Clerk Joanne Pace is ready to help. As the official keeper of town records, and just about anything else of import, Pace is pretty busy. But she took a few minutes out of her hectic schedule to answer five questions for us.

Q: What do you like best about your job?

A: Helping the people. They come here for so many different things – like getting married. I love being a people person and answering any questions they might have and pointing them in the right direction.

Q: What do you like best about living in Pound Ridge?

I really love it – the quietness and the fact that it’s not congested. I also like the nature and the beauty. It’s just a small, close-knit community.

Q: What do like to do on weekends?

A: Reading and shopping! I also like to spend time with my family.

Q: What is your favorite place to dine out?

I like the Long Ridge Tavern in Stamford, Conn. It’s an old rustic barn with lots of ambiance. They serve American cuisine like steaks and seafood.

Q: What is your favorite movie?

I like just about any romantic movie, like “Under the Tuscan Sun.” I like romantic movies with lots of traveling – movies with exotic locales.
