Dems Set Forum for Congressional Candidates

MT. KISCO, N.Y. – A congressional candidate forum sponsored by a coalition of northern Westchester community committees will be held Tuesday at the American Legion Hall in Mt. Kisco at 7 p.m.

The forum, which will be moderated by Lewisboro Supervisor Peter Parsons, will feature candidates in the 19th congressional district who are seeking to oppose Rep. Nan Hayworth in this year’s general election.

The current candidates include Matt Alexander, a CPA and current mayor of Wappingers Falls; Dr. Richard Becker, a cardiologist and Cortlandt Town Board member; Duane Jackson, a Vietnam vet from Buchanan and the man who alerted authorities to the would-be Times Square bomber; Anne Jacobs Moultrie, a registered nurse and vice president of Local 1199 of SEIU from Woodbury, and Tom Wilson, who is employed in the financial services industry and is the current mayor of Tuxedo Park.

The Legion Hall is located at the intersection of Route 117 and 133.

All are invited to the forum. There will be an opportunity for the audience to ask questions of the candidates.
