'Brighter Days' Art Exhibit Coming To Ward Pound Ridge

POUND RIDGE, N.Y.-- “Brighter Days,” an exhibition of paintings by South Salem artist Suzan Waldinger, will open with a reception on Sept. 21, at The Gallery in the Park at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation.

Waldinge's favored medium is acrylic, creates vividly colorful images in the contemporary expressionist style using a technique known as impasto, in which the artist squeezes thick paint from the tube onto the canvas and uses various tools to create pleasing effects.

The reception runs from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

The exhibition will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Dec. 31.
