Ball to Introduce New Appointment to Local First Responders

Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) will introduce the 40th Senate District's law enforcement and fire prevention community to Jerome M. Hauer, the governor's appointee for commissioner of the Department of Homeland Security, at the district’s 1st Annual Law Enforcement and Fire Prevention Roundtable Summit Meeting on Friday, Jan. 6.  

In addition, Ball will provide a forum for each county and local municipality in the 40th Senate District, which includes Pound Ridge and Lewisboro, to share feedback concerning the training and development needs of their police and fire departments, and to discuss their current emergency preparedness plans.

The meeting will be held at the Paladin Center, a training center for law enforcement and fire first responders in Carmel at 10 a.m. It will include a roundtable discussion on the training and development needs of the 40th district’s law enforcement and fire prevention community as well as a discussion about emergency preparedness plans.

The discussion will be followed by a tour of the Paladin Center to observe first responder training and development programs.
