An all-new T.J. Maxx locale celebrated its opening on Thursday, Nov. 7 in Yorktown at the Yorktown Green Shopping Center at 335 Downing Dr.

The department store occupies part of a former Kmart location that is now undergoing a "major revival," Yorktown officials said, adding that other businesses planned for the space include Five Below, Michaels, and a pickleball sports center.

"Yorktown is thriving, and people are making big investments," said Town Supervisor Ed Lachterman, who added, "This brings jobs to our residents, and thanks to the mall’s owner—Oster Properties—for investing in our community."

T.J. Maxx's Yorktown locale, which will sell clothes and home goods, is one of over 1,000 locations across the country.
