TGIF In Pound Ridge

POUND RIDGE, N.Y. -- Not sure about you faithful readers, but for me this week went way too fast.

However, I am humbled by the number of people who contacted me to show their appreciation for our police department and especially Chief Ryan on his candid remark for liking croissants. (Remember, come the holidays and those deliveries to our first responders, go easy on the butter).

In thinking about how fun it is to share my thoughts, I would also like to thank my editor, Tom Renner, for making sure my articles and opinions are as close to perfect as possible. We all make mistakes and I am glad I have him to provide that safety net.

This week, I was planning to share a humorous piece about Obamacare which had been making the rounds and was provided by my mother-in-law. Unfortunately, I was told that unless I could locate the original author to get their permission to share it, that it would be a no go. For anyone interested, it is posted on my Facebook page.

In the meantime, I hope to have the opportunity to interview the Democratic candidate for Town Supervisor. If there is any concern on the part of the PRDC that I am not providing an equal chance to hear their side for the upcoming election, that is just hogwash. The fact is I see a lot of good in their candidate, which is why I would like to interview her. Besides, one nice thing I have in common with her husband is that we both drive a Porsche (although I admit he has more horsepower while mine is bigger).

Speaking of older boys with faster toys, tomorrow is the 11th Annual Pound Ridge Car Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Town Park and sponsored by the Pound Ridge Police PBA. I’ll be there and hope to see everyone as well.

Drive carefully and have a great weekend. Be well my friends.
