Pound Ridge Lions Sponsoring Bake-Off Competition

POUND RIDGE, N.Y. – The Pound Ridge Lions Club will sponsor a bake-off competition as part of Pound Ridge Pride Day on Sunday, May 20.

To participate, a resident must register by May 17 and then bring their creation, as well as the recipe, to the Lions’ bake-off table during the block party portion of Pride Day, which begins at 2 p.m. A panel of judges will taste and ultimately choose the award-winning desserts, pies, cakes and cookies. There will also be a category for kids.

"We are looking forward to a fun event that draws upon the talents of our fellow Pound Ridgers,” said Ed Condon, president of the Pound Ridge Lions Club.

The fundraiser will culminate in the compiling of a Pound Ridge cookbook that will benefit the projects funded by the Lions Club.
