The discussion, “How to Stop the Spread, Spread the Word, Manage Invasive Plants,” will feature a half-dozen panelists, including:
- Marc Bellaud, the aquatic biologist who developed and implemented the aquatic management plan for the Lake Kitchawan Conservation Committee.
- Pound Ridge residents James and Ellen Best, who live on the property formerly owned by Sara Stein, author of “Noah’s Garden: Restoring the Ecology of Our Own Backyards.”
- The Westchester Land Trust’s David Emerson, an expert in land management.
- Linda Rohleder, of the Lower Hudson Partnerships for Regional Invasive Species Management.
- Janelle Hope Robbins, executive director of the Bedford Audubon Society and moderator of the evening’s discussion.
The event takes place Sunday, March 10, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at The Hiram Halle Library, Westchester Avenue, Pound Ridge.
