Pound Ridge Seniors Planning Trip to Cloisters Museum

POUND RIDGE, N.Y. – The Pound Ridge Neighbor to Neighbor program for seniors is sponsoring a trip to the Cloisters Museum and Gardens in Manhattan, but those wishing to attend need to register by Sept. 14.

The trip, scheduled for Oct. 10, will include lunch at the New Leaf Restaurant in Tyron Park, followed by time at the Museum and Gardens. Attendees can take a self-guided tour and learn about medieval Europe.

The Cloister Museum and Gardens opened to the public in 1938 and is located in Fort Tyron Park in northern Manhattan. It was assembled from architectural elements that date from the 12th and 15th centuries.

The cost is $25 and includes museum admission and transportation. The bus will depart from Town Park at 11 a.m. and return at 5 p.m.
