For the first time, the town will be charging non-residents $30 per car to join the celebration that begins at dusk on Saturday, July 2 at Pound Ridge Town Park.
Town officials said the charge is to help recoup cost associated with hiring a fireworks contractor at a price tag of at least $7,000, and for police overtime.
It's also in an effort to reduce the number of people who attend the event, Daily Voice reported previously.
Pound Ridge residents will need town parking permits to enter. Non-residents will need $30 in cash.
