POUND RIDGE, N.Y. -- The Pound Ridge annual Egg Scramble and Hunt is set for 1 p.m. on March 12 at Pound Ridge Elementary School, according to the town.

In related news, the town is sponsoring an Egg Decorating Contest for students in pre-K to third grade.

Decorated eggs (which are really drawn or painted on a paper template) are being accepted by Pound Ridge Recreation until March 9.

Submissions will be judged on creativity and originality. There will be winners in each grade, a Special Grand Prize winner and a Most Comical winner.

The winning eggs and their designers will be announced at the Egg Scramble and Hunt, which is to be held at the elementary school, 7 Pound Ridge Road.

A template for the decorated egg can be found here. For more information, call 914-764-0947.
