Fairfield County Man Charged With Possessing Child Porn, Police Say A 24-year-old Fairfield County man was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography. Quinten Yonkers, of New Canaan, was arrested at his home on Wednesday, Aug. 18, according to authorities. The New Canaan Police Department said investigators received a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Data System on Monday, May 17, about internet activity within New Canaan deemed to be child pornography. Tornado Touched Down In Fairfield County After Two Others Confirmed In Westchester, Rockland A third tornado has been confirmed in the Lower Hudson Valley/Fairfield County area during Tuesday's severe storm. The latest twister the National Weather Service has documented after completing surveying on Wednesday touched down in New Canaan at 5:29 p.m. and went through Norwalk until 5:41 p.m. It has been rated as an EF1 Twister, with the EF standing for Enhanced Fugita scale. Power Outages Now Hitting 27 Percent Of New Canaan As more than 27 percent of New Canaan residents continue to deal with power outages, officials are warning that downed power lines continue to be a problem as trees tumble. A classic example of the danger could be seen Wednesday during the height of the storm when several power lines caught fire on Weed Street, putting on a show for residents until firefighters could arrive to douse the flames.
