Police are investigating after two people fell ill after opening a suspicious package. The incident took place in Rockland County around 11:20 p.m., Sunday, March 21. Suffern Police responded with the Suffern Fire Department and Ramapo Valley Ambulance Corps to Parkside Drive for a call of two residents experiencing dizziness after opening a suspicious package, said Suffern Police. Mount Vernon City Hall Evacuated Twice For Suspicious Package, Fire
Mount Vernon City Hall was evacuated twice on Monday morning when a suspicious package was found, followed by a suspicious fire that is under investigation. Police said that the threat was announced at approximately 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 14, prompting an evacuation as officers took emergency measures. The area around City Hall was shut down. Stamford Road Closed, Homes Evacuated For Suspicious Package
Stamford police are evacuating homes near Woodway Road in Springdale due to the discovery of a suspicious package in the area, according to Stamford Police. The department's bomb squad and bomb-sniffing dogs are on scene to check-out the package and the area, police added. The roads closed include Woodway and Highview Avenue and Woodway at Hope Street.
