Man Breaks Into Westchester Home, Assaults Person, Police Say A man was arrested for allegedly breaking into an occupied home and assaulting a member of the household in Westchester County. The incident took place around 2 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 17 in the city of Rye on Stuyvesant Avenue.  Rye officers responded to a report of three men entering a city home that was occupied at the time by family members and guests, said Lt. In Westchester County, 11 vehicles have been stolen in Rye since March 2022, Rye Police said in a statement Tuesday, Aug. 2. The crash took place in Southern Westchester late Friday, May 6 in the city of Rye. Rye Police responded to a one-car motor vehicle accident occurring on the Boston Post Road in the area of Cedar Street. Police Investigating Stabbing In Rye Police are investigating a stabbing that took place near 900 Boston Post Road in Rye, according to multiple sources.  Police had set up a crime scene area in front of two churches and had taped off a still-running silver Honda around 9 p.m. Thursday, according to News 12.  News 12 reported the vehicle had a blood-stained passenger seat and that a victim was taken by ambulance to Westchester Medical Center.  Rye police said the police commissioner would release additional information Friday afternoon. Rye Police Made Arrest Of Westchester Man Found Guilty Of Sex With Child A 43-year-old White Plains man was arrested by Rye police and convicted on Friday, March 16 of engaging in sex with a child under the age of 13, according to Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr.  Jard Hobbs was found guilty on three counts.  Judge Susan Cacace presided over Hobbs' jury trial in Westchester County Court.
