19: New Positive Cases Reported At School District In Westchester
A school district in Westchester County is confirming additional positive cases of COVID-19 after a first positive case was reported last month. The Rye Neck School District in Mamaroneck said it was informed on Tuesday evening, Oct. 6 that students at both Daniel Warren and Rye Neck Middle School had tested positive for COVID. Rye Neck Voters Approve $27.6M Schools Bond Referendum
Voters in Rye Neck overwhelmingly approved the school district’s proposed $27.6 million capital improvement bond spending plan. With a vote of 733 to 153, voters approved Proposition One, which includes a $6.28 million plan that will replace antiquated roofs across the district’s three buildings. Proposition B, which passed 608 to 278, includes an expansion to the middle and high school that will add eight new classrooms.
