Suspects Still On Run After Five Shot In Westchester County, Police Say
Police are intensifying their investigations into two shootings that injured five people in one night in Westchester County. The incidents began in Yonkers around 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 16. That's when officers responded to the area of Pitkin Park on Locust Hill Avenue on a report of shots fired, said Sgt. Frank DiDomizio, of the Yonkers Police Department. Five people were injured in two separate shootings on the same night in Westchester County. Both shootings happened on Saturday, July 16, in Yonkers, according to the Yonkers Police Department. 15 Displaced As Fire Breaks Out At Three-Story, Multi-Family House In Westchester
Fifteen residents have been displaced after a two-alarm fire sparked in a multi-family home on Christmas night. Firefighters were dispatched to a three-story Locust Hill Avenue home shortly before 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 25, when a fire broke out in the walls and ceilings of all three floors, Yonkers Deputy Chief Daniel Flynn said. Crews were on scene within two minutes, Flynn noted. The fire was knocked down and under control by 11:27 p.m. According to Flynn, four firefighters suffered minor injuries battling the blaze. A 39-year-old was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries late Thursday after being attacked by three men in Westchester. Police are investigating the assault that occurred around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18 in the area of Locust Hill Avenue at Overlook Terrace, said Yonkers Police Det. Sgt. Dean Politopoulos. Stabbings Reported On Back-To-Back Nights In Yonkers
Police in Yonkers are investigating the second stabbing in as many days outside of city apartment buildings. Members from the Yonkers Police Department were dispatched to a Western Avenue apartment building shortly before 6 p.m. on Tuesday night, where there was a report of a stabbing incident, Yonkers Police Sgt.
