Woman Caught Trying To Steal $220 Coat From Macy's, Police Say A woman is facing larceny charges after police say she tried to steal a coat from a Macy’s store worth $220. Yorktown Police responded to a report of a shoplifter in custody at Macy’s at Jefferson Valley Mall (700 Lee Boulevard) on Monday, March 11 around 1:30 p.m. Upon further investigation, officers discovered that the suspect, identified as 61-year-old Lilia Gierer of New York City, removed the price tag from a coat and replaced it with a cheaper price tag.
