Purse, Wallet, Credits Cards Stolen From Unlocked Vehicles In Fairfield County Police are reminding residents once again to lock their vehicles and remove valuables after three vehicles were burglarized in Fairfield County. The incidents took place on Thursday, March, 18 in New Canaan, said New Canaan Police Chief Leon Krolikowski.  The first incident was reported around 9:06 a.m. on March 18, when police responded to a residence on White Oak Shade Lane on a report of two vehicles entered. New Canaan Home Burglarized While Family Away On Vacation, Police Say Following a home burglary in New Canaan in which the family was away on vacation, police are asking residents to be sure and secure their residences. The burglary was discovered around 10:51 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13, at a home on Route 106 (Silvermine Road) when the family returned from vacation and found they had been the target of thieves, said New Canaan Police Chief Leon Krolikowski. Two Unlocked Cars Stolen In New Canaan Overnight Two unlocked cars with the keys inside were stolen overnight Tuesday from driveways in New Canaan, according to the chief of police. Chief Leon Krolikowski said a 2003 Mercedes was stolen from a driveway on Horton Lane and a 2017 Kia was stolen from Nubel Lane. The 2017 Kia was recovered in New Haven, he added.
