New York politicians wasted no time reacting to the Supreme Court’s decision striking down a federal ban on bump stocks, which allow semiautomatic rifles to fire more quickly. Anthony G. Piraneo who spent his whole life in Westchester died Wednesday, Aug. 21, at age 45. He was raised in Pelham where he attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Hutchinson Schools before graduating from Pelham Memorial High School in 1992. Born March 19, 1974, in New Rochelle to Anthony and Patricia, he was one of three children. The Connecticut House overwhelmingly passed a ban that helps disarm automatic weapons.By a vote of 114 to 55, the state's House late on Tuesday, May 1 passed the so-called bump stock ban, according to multiple news reports.
