Wanted Fugitive Running From Police Dies After Fall, NY State Police Say A wanted fugitive has died after falling from a cliff during a chase, according to New York State Police. The incident unfolded Monday, Aug. 8, in Greene County as New York State Police troopers attempted to stop a pickup truck in the town of Durham. A trooper pulled the vehicle over at around 11:30 p.m. near County Route 67 and O’Hara Road after observing multiple vehicle and traffic law violations, police said. Sex Offender Wanted In Two States Nabbed At Mall In Region, Police Say A sex offender wanted in two states was nabbed after police responded to a Hudson Valley mall for a man acting "disorderly." Eldon Ray Groh, age 49, of Missouri, was arrested on Tuesday, Feb. 15, when officers responded to Mountain Mall in Sullivan County at 321 East Broadway in the village of Monticello. According to Lt. Mark Johnstone, of the Monticello Police, when officers stopped Groh and ran a background check, they found that he was wanted in Missouri on a felony warrant for failure to register as a sex offender. Two Arrested After Spotted Running From Closed Greenwich Gas Station Two men are behind bars after an alert police officer on patrol noticed them running from a closed gas station to a car parked on the side of the road. Tyquan Catala, 28, and Sheldon Todd, 28, both of the Bronx, were arrested around 3:30 a.m. Monday after the officer noticed the car parked near the closed Shell gas station on Post Road and then saw the two men running toward the vehicle, said Lt.
