A Westchester man has been charged after urinating in an open area of a New Canaan gas station's convenience store, according to police. Officers responded to the Mobil station at 16 South Ave. on Monday, July 22 at 11:35 p.m. where Henry Ramos Sanchez, 26, of Port Chester, allegedly urinated inside the convenience store area of the gas station, according to police. It was additionally reported that Sanchez also urinated on a vehicle parked in the parking lot area of the gas station, said police. Police Eye Gang Members After Two Jeeps Are Stolen In New Canaan
Police are eyeing gang members as suspects after two Jeeps were stolen in New Canaan. New Canaan Police Chief Leon Krolikowski said the department received complaints on Sunday, May 5, that a 2017 Jeep Wrangler was stolen from the driveway of a residence on Barnegat Road, and that a 2016 Jeep Cherokee was stolen from the driveway of a residence on upper Elm Street. Handicapped Motorists Parked In Metered Lots Will Now Be Charged In New Canaan
In the near future, handicapped motorists parking in New Canaan will have to pay to park in metered lots following a vote by the Parking Commission. Officials voted 4-1 (Crum against) to begin charging handicapped permit-holders who park in designated spaces in the lots at Morse Court and Center School, according to city documents. During the meeting, Chairman Keith Richey stated that handicapped motorists park for free on downtown streets such as Elm, just as non-handicapped people do.
