The driver of a tractor-trailer carrying bottled water has died after the truck crashed off the road and down an embankment on I-95 in Milford.  The incident occurred at 6:37 a.m. Friday on the southbound side of the highway between the rest stop and Exit 40, said Capt. Stephen Rabel with the Milford Fire Department. Milford Firefighters arrived on scene and found the tractor-trailer off the road and into the wooded area. Bear Struck, Killed On Highway In Area A bear was struck and killed by a vehicle on I-84 in Newtown on Saturday, causing minor injuries to the occupants.  According to Chris Collibee, a spokesman for DEEP,  the department was notified by the state police that the 80-pound untagged bear was hit around 7 p.m. on the westbound side of the roadway.
