Woman Found Dead On Road In Westchester
Police are asking the public for help in the investigation of the death of a woman whose body was found on a busy road in the area last month.
The woman was discovered in Northern Westchester on Wednesday, April 29, on Route 202 (Crompond Road), near the Bear Mountain parking area, in Cortlandt, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks.
Identified as Barbara E. Berkowitz, 71, of Brooklyn, investigators have been unable to find any family members or establish a link to the area, Hicks said.

Bomb Threat That Cleared Berkeley College Campuses 'Unfounded'
The “unsubstantiated, non-specific bomb threat” early Friday that forced the evacuation of the White Plains campus of Berkeley College, along with six others in New York and New Jersey, was unfounded, officials said.
All of the buildings were “evacuated, inspected and cleared by local authorities” after the 7:45 a.m. call to the Woodland Park, NJ campus, College President Michael J. Smith said.
“Normal campus operations resumed at approximately 11 a.m.,” Smith wrote in an email to students, faculty and staff.
