Man Wanted For Killing Wife Found Near Bear Mountain Bridge Had Been Served Divorce Papers Just a day before George Grogan called his son and said that he had killed his mother, Audrey Grogan, he had been served with divorce papers. George Grogan, 59, called his son on Friday, Sept. 27, he was served divorce papers on Thursday, Sept. 26, court records show. After the call, the son notified the Town of Poughkeepsie police who minutes later responded to Grogan’s residence located at 6 Shamrock Circle in the Town of Poughkeepsie.  They found no one home, said Town of Poughkeepsie Police Capt. Serious Crash Causes Bear Mountain Bridge Road Closure Bear Mountain Bridge Road was closed during part of the morning commute due to a crash with reported injuries in Cortlandt. The crash, which took place around 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 23, closed the road between Annsville Circle and the Bear Mountain Bridge, said New York State Trooper AJ Hicks. Hicks said the crash involved two vehicles and minor injuries. Tow trucks were on the scene, Hick said. "At least one of the vehicles crossed the double yellow on the curve in the road," he said. "It's a difficult spot to remove the injured and vehicles."
