Woman Bitten By Coyote While Walking Dog In New Canaan Park, Police Say Police are warning area residents that a woman was bitten by a coyote while walking her dog in a park. The incident took place in Fairfield County around 6:30 a.m., Thursday, June 11, when the animal attacked the woman at Waveny Park in New Canaan, police said. Animal Control officers are advising that people avoid the trails and tall grassy areas of the park. Anyone who spots the animal or has concerns should contact Animal Control Officer Alyson Halm at 203-594-3510.
