Port Chester High School Dazzles in Winter Concert

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - Port Chester High School held its winter concert Wednesday evening inside the school's auditorium.

The concert, which started at 7:30 p.m., featured performances from the Women's Choir, Concert Choir, and Select Choir directed by Ms. Linda Penney, as well as the concert and jazz bands directed by Robert Vitti. Over 200 students performed in the concert.

The choirs and bands played numerous holiday favorites including "Silent Night," "Let it Snow," "the Little Drummer Boy," and "Hanukkah Flame."

There was also an opportunity for the attendees to do some last minute Christmas shopping as the school sponsored both a raffle and a holiday sale outside the auditorium doors. At the end of the night the school ended up raffling off a 32-inch flat screen television, an Ipod touch, multiple gift cards to local restaurants, and a variety of gift baskets.

The Port Chester High School Music Department acknowledged the Board of Education, the school district and high school administration and  Port Chester music director Ken Kraut as integral to making the event possible.
