Vicente Mendoza, 54, was stopped around 11:44 p.m. on I-287 for multiple traffic violations. During his arrest, he was found to have a blood alcohol content of 0.19 percent, more than twice the legal limit. Additionally, Mendoza had a prior DWI conviction within the last 10 years and as a result was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated numerous vehicle and traffic violations, state police said.
Mendoza was turned over to a sober third party and released after posting $500 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 14.
