Salvatore Caputo, 71, Of Port Chester

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. – Salvatore Caputo, a resident of Port Chester, died Wednesday, July 22. He was 71.

Caputo was born on Nov. 12, 1943, to Rocco and Concetta Pennetta Caputo in Morra, De Sanctis, Italy.

He emigrated to the United States in 1961, settling in Port Chester. He retired as a landscaper.

Caputo is survived by his wife Concetta (Delfico); two children, Rocco and his wife, Renee of Waxhaw, N.C., Tina Allmashy and her husband, Stephen of Danbury, Conn.; five grandchildren, Rebecca, Rachel and Michael Caputo and Angelica and Alex Allmashy; brother Frank and wife Vincenza of Rye Brook; and mother-in-law Rosa Delfico.

Visiting hours will be at 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday at Craft Memorial Home.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Saturday at Corpus Christi Church, 136 S. Regent St. in Port Chester.

Entombment will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Rye Brook.
