Ralph B. Cirulli, 93, Port Chester Resident

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. – Ralph B. Cirulli, a resident of Port Chester, died Sunday, May 29. He was 93.

He was born in the small town of Schiavi D'Abruzzo, Italy, on May 13, 1923, to the late Pietro and Nicolina Porfilio Cirulli. He came to the U.S. at the age of 7. He had many talents, including drawing and music. He served in the U.S. military twice – once during World War II in the Army and again during the Korean War as a military band member at March Field Air Force Base in California. He played the saxophone, percussion and the B flat baritone horn. After returning from the service, he formed the Port Chester American Legion Band, which played all over Westchester County and farther for many years. He also had a construction company and put his artistic talent to good use in home renovations.

He is survived by his wife, Marsha; his brother, Domenick P. Cirulli; his four children from his first marriage, Dr. Richard R. Cirulli, Dr. Christopher Cirulli, Lisa (Cirulli) Jeleneck and her husband, Matt, and Ralph E. Cirulli; and10 grandchildren, Kim and Mary Cirulli, Katie, Michael, Kristen and Benjamin Cirulli, Lauren Swirski Berry, Steven Swirski, Heather Swirski and Brianna Cirulli.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 2, from 4-8 p.m. at Craft Memorial Home Inc., 40 Leicester St., Port Chester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 3, at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 136 S. Regent St., Port Chester. Interment is private.

Memorial donations may be made to the Corpus Christi Church or the American Kidney Foundation.
