Top Leaders, Business Associates 'Celebrate Westchester' With Daily Voice

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- More than 125 elected officials, hospital executives and other business leaders attended a reception by Daily Voice on Tuesday night at The Briarcliff Manor.

The "Celebrate Westchester" reception marked the digital media company's sixth year in operation in Westchester County. It has since expanded to seven counties in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey.

"More than 1.2 million people visited us in the last 30 days,'' Daily Voice Founder and Publisher Carll Tucker told guests at The Briarcliff Manor, referring to Daily Voice's network of 77 sites. "We keep that digital platform relevant. First, fast, fresh, abundant, various and fun."

Among the elected officials at Tuesday's reception were Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino and Michael Kaplowitz, D-Somers, chairman of the Westchester Board of Legislators, as well as former U.S. Rep. Nan Hayworth, Greenburgh Supervisor Paul Feiner, Harrison Mayor Ron Belmont and Mount Kisco Mayor Michael Cindrich.

Astorino praised Tucker for launching a startup that provides a vital service to county residents.

"The world has changed absolutely since The Patent Trader,'' Astorino said, referring to Tucker's former print newspaper published in Mount Kisco. "He was ahead of everything else. Has it worked? My God has it worked."

Tucker spoke of business content partnerships with such county institutions as Pace University, White Plains Hospital, Northern Westchester Hospital and Westchester Medical Center.

"We're very pleased and proud to be a content partner," Pace University President Stephen J. Friedman said. "We're very, very proud of this. We're happy that we're here. I'm very happy that all of you are here."
