PORT CHESTER, N.Y. Port Chester police responded to a report of a burglary Thursday evening on Madison Avenue. The 28-year-old complainant told the police that when he returned home about 8 p.m., his video-game system and 14 games were missing, police Lt. James Ladeairous said.
Police think entry was gained through a window, as there was no sign of forced entry and nothing else was taken from the apartment, Ladeairous said. He suggested that the burglar or burglars are likely juvenile.
The following items were also reported by Port Chester police:
Cab Dispute: A 23-year-old woman was charged with disorderly conduct on March 10 after the police received a call about a disturbance at the Summerfield Mobile station at 5:18 a.m. Police arrived and found a woman screaming and banging on the window of a cab. Police reported that the altercation began inside the station and that the cabdriver, who decided not to press charges, had scratches on his face. The dispute was over $30.
Car Vandalism: On March 13 a Perry Avenue man reported a broken left taillight on his 2006 Ford van. Video surveillance revealed that an unknown man carrying a pipe had smashed the taillight for "no apparent reason," the police report said. Police are investigating the matter.
Car Break-ins: Police reported two car break ins, one on March 11 in the Waterfont parking lot and the second at the Walgreens on North Main Street.
