Port Chester Man Charged with Third Degree Assault

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. – Port Chester resident Fabian Sumba was charged with misdemeanor assault in the third degree Dec. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at his residence on 57 Oak Street.

According to Lt. Jim Ladeairous of the Port Chester Police Department, officers received a call about a domestic dispute between Sumba and his father regarding the sale of Sumba’s laptop.

Police said officers determined the dispute was a civil matter and were leaving the scene when the assault broke out. The responding officers walked in on an intoxicated Sumba beating on a 33-year-old male, Ladeairous said.

Ladeairous confirmed that despite being left bloodied and with a broken nose the victim refused to go to the hospital.
