Millie Tripodi, 74, Ex-Port Chester Diner Owner

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - Millie B. Tripodi of Greenwich died April 4 at Greenwich Hospital surrounded by her family. She was 74.

Tripodi was the former owner of Papa Bear's Restaurant on Meritt Street in Port Chester. Born in Mamaroneck to the late Joseph and Mary Comblo, she attended Mamaroneck Schools. Tripodi also worked at the Greenwich Hospital Thrift Shop. 

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Paul Tripodi; a daughter, Susan (Kenny) Herrmann; a son, Joseph Tripodi; two brothers, James Comblo and Charles Comblo; and three grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Tripodi was predeceased by three brothers, Frank, Dominic and Anthony. 

Family and friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Castiglione Funeral Home in Greenwich. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
