Music At The Mansion Benefits Rye Brook's Crawford Park

RYE BROOK, N.Y.— Crawford Mansion in Rye Brook will host an afternoon of opera and American classics on Sunday at 3 p.m.

SUNY Purchase graduate student Rachel Weishoff, a mezzo-soprano, accompanied by Matthew Cossack, will perform again at Crawford Mansion for an afternoon of opera and American classics on Sunday.

Featured performers in the Music at the Mansion concert are Robin Clifford, soprano; Rachel Weishoff, mezzo-soprano; Matthew Cossack, baritone; and Christopher Cooley, pianist. Program highlights include Verdi, Massanet, Mozart, Gershwin and Rodgers and Hammerstein.

Clifford and Weishoff are both graduate students at SUNY Purchase. Clifford has performed in numerous Purchase Opera productions from 2012-15. Both artists currently study under Bonnie Hamilton. 

Cossack is in his first year as a graduate student at Mannes College. He has performed in shows produced by Mannes Opera, New York Lyric Opera Theater, Purchase Opera and Princeton Summer Festival. Cossack is also a student of Bonnie Hamilton. 

Cooley has traveled the world sharing his talents as an accomplished composer, arranger and orchestrator. He has played with the University of Texas Symphony, the Chamber Orchestra of Florida and Musica Bella Orchestra of New York.

Music at the Mansion has a mission to help raise money for Crawford Park by hosting numerous events, showcasing artists from the area. Shows are held every two months. 

Crawford Mansion is at 122 N. Ridge St., Rye Brook.

Advanced tickets are $15 for adults and $9 for students and seniors. At the door, tickets are $20 for adults $14 for students and seniors. Doors open at 2 p.m.
