A Heat Advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. Wednesday until 6 p.m. Thursday for Westchester and Rockland.
The highest heat index values will occur mainly during the afternoons both days, with heat stress possible during outdoor exertion or extended exposure, the National Weather Service said.
To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments.

Wednesday's actual high temperature will climb just past 90 degrees. It will be mostly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain.
Thursday will be mostly sunny with the high temperature between 92 and 94 degrees and a chance of showers and thunderstorms overnight into Friday.
