These Two Westchester Zip Codes Among Top 100 Priciest In Country, New Report Says
Two Hudson Valley zip codes were ranked among the most expensive in the United States based on residential sales, according to a new report. Property Shark said it created this year's list of the 100 most expensive zip codes in the US based on residential transactions closed between Jan. 1 and Oct. 22. The two Hudson Valley zip codes, both in Westchester County, that made the list are located in Rye and Purchase. Rye's 10580 zip code was ranked 72nd, with a median sale price of $1,861,000 in 2021. With New York on the mend from the COVID-19 pandemic, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that the state will start beginning to downscale some of its mass vaccination sites. 19: NY Starts Direct Enforcement In 20 Hotspots; Cuomo Threatens To Close Some Schools
New York State will launch direct enforcement of businesses in "hotspot" cluster areas and Gov. Andrew Cuomo said some schools may be ordered to close in-person learning due to insufficient COVID-19 testing. Within the top 20 ZIP codes in counties with recent outbreaks - Brooklyn (Kings), Queens and Rockland and Orange counties - the average rate of positive tests is 4.8 percent. The rate of positive tests for the remainder of New York State, not counting these 20 ZIP codes, is 0.91 percent.
